March 31st, 2009 - Your Guide to Alamo Car Rental

There are many auto hire companies but the Alamo car rental service is one of the most popular. They are highly recommended not only through word of mouth, but on the internet as well. The Alamo car rental vehicles are chosen for the traveler in mind and provide a comfortable environment if you are driving any great distance. Still, sometimes it is difficult taking someone else’s word for something so the only way you will be convinced is to try the Alamo car rental service yourself.

The Alamo car rental company actually gives its customers varied service programs that they can choose from, from corporate programs to government contractor programs to meeting and events programs. To highlight this commitment to its customers, Alamo will do everything it can to supply the car you request.

Not only will they supply the vehicle you want but the Alamo car rental company is able to do so at extremely competitive rates compared to other rivals, which is just another indication of their commitment. By sticking to cheaper rates, Alamo car rental agencies actually give their clients a good value for their money. This is often the most popular use for car rental, at the end of an internal plane journey, especially for business users. To ensure their continued business, Alamo car rental has put together custom business packages for customers that will use them on a regular basis.

As with all care rental companies, the Alamo has some specific requirements that have to be met before they part with their vehicles. The renter will need to inform them about an additional driver as well as any disabilities or sickness and complications. Of course the Alamo car rental company will also need you to provide your credit card details not just as a guarantee but also as a method of payment. Identification and a valid driver’s license will also be needed.

For the rental to be approved many other requirements will need to be met and only those that are the most vital have been discussed in this article. To be fair, this sort of information would be required by any car rental company to protect itself and its customers.

Contacting a rental car company has never been difficult but since the advent of the internet it is now even easier. Using huge databases, the internet is full of lists which can be searched using ‘keywords’ or phrases, making it easy to find companies like the Alamo. In fact Alamo has ensured that no matter whether you are a loyal customer or someone who has never tried them before, everything has been done to provide an easy way to contact them.

And speaking of trying their best to give their customers great service, Alamo car rental has actually equipped their vehicles with other services that might possibly prove to be very useful to their clients. Also, just ask and many other extras can be added to give you special feel that Alamo has tried so hard to achieve. With the advent of so much new technology like in-car entertainment for the passengers and satellite navigation for the driver, there is no end to the extras you can request. Next time you go to hire a vehicle, think of the Alamo and give them a call, you won’t regret it.

March 31st, 2009 - What is the difference between sick leave and vacation leave? Why not have a combined personal leave benefit?

Gerhard E asked:

I am working for a small company that wants to begin to offer vacation and sick leave benefits. They plan to offer both as a “personal leave” policy that can be used either for sick leave or vacation. I do not understand how the IRS might treat them differently. It seems most companies do not have a combined personal leave benefit.

Another common short cruise was Long Beach, California and heading straight to Catalina Island and back. While these were fun when they first came out, there is much more. The choices and options has really increased since then.

March 24th, 2009 - Innocent seduction on stage - Le Reve

Wynn Las Vegas is home of Le Reve - A Small Collection of Imperfect Dreams. This fascinating, aw striking, show has become so popular, tickets are nearly impossible to get your hands on. Le Reve debuted in 2005 and continually entrances audiences with its provocative allure and seductive music. The story, behind the beauty, is the struggle to understand the nature of good and evil.

The stage, where Le Reve performs, is round and covered in water with three waterfall entrances for performers to make their appearance. The circular design, of the stage, brings an intimacy to the performers - and audience - in a way that cannot be experienced on other stages. This combination of features allows audiences - regardless of sitting arrangements - to have an exceptional view of the entire show.

The stage actually transforms in order to allow for stunning aerial and aquatic aerobics. The transformation allows performers to perform stunts at heights that are nearly unbelievable along with underwater. This transformation can also be seen from anywhere in the audience.

One ticket package, in particular, offers a bit of extra glamour for audiences - the VIP Indulgence Package. You will sit in typical VIP seating with extra lush seating and served champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Additionally, you have access to a monitor that will allow you to see behind the scene activities. There are only 100 VIP Indulgence Packages offered per show - if this is the luxury you desire - you will need to look at purchasing your tickets in advance.

Regardless of special seating or VIP packages, you will have an amazing view of the entire show. The seating is circular and surrounds the circular stage, which is encompasses a 1-million gallon water tank for the performance. No matter where you are sitting, you will be within 30-40 feet of the performers and the stage.

The synchronized performances, both underwater and above, are absolutely breath taking! These talented, skillful performers are able to perform at heights that are nearly unbelievable. Additionally, they perform without ropes or protective harnesses, which make the entire show even more amazing. Audiences are often caught gasping many of the tricks like triple spins and quadruple loops.

To pull off such stunts take discipline like that of an Olympic competitor, which many of these performers were. The costumes and the way in which each scene is acted out, shows the human form in the pure beauty that it naturally is. Performers’ moves are on constant criticism by the producers, troupe, and choreographers as they continually improve and perfect the show. Because of this, and the utter beauty of the show, Le Reve is the hottest item in the state.

Franco Dragone is known for other productions like “O” and “Mystere”; he definitely lived up to his legend with Le Reve! Since the show debuted, in 2005, tickets have become harder to find and purchase - and it doesn’t look like the demand is slowing down. Le Reve is one of the most seductive, entrancing performances in Vegas - don’t miss the opportunity to see these performers!

March 23rd, 2009 - Different Uses For A Large Plastic Easter Egg

It might not be obvious to everyone just how many uses you can find for your large plastic easter eggs once Easter has passed. You have been filling them with candies and treats for your little ones setting up Easter egg hunts and the like. But how can you reuse all these eggs you bought?

Uses Around the Home

If your plastic easter eggs don’t have holes in them you can pull them apart and use them as little dishes to put wood varnish in if you are finishing an area of wood like a dining table. By doing this you can avoid ruining some of your more finer dishware as these can just be thrown away afterwards, or cleaned and put back in the garage to use again.

How about using a large plastic easter egg as a makeshift organizer to put thumbtacks in for use in your home office? But don’t limit yourself to the home office, you can put some plastic easter eggs in your garage to keep all your screws of the same size together. This will save you time next time you’re looking for that certain size screw, nut, or bolt.

I like to put my batteries in some of my large plastic easter eggs and then put them in fridge as this keeps your food protected if a battery ever leaks, and your batteries in tip top condition. And as a mother’s day present from the kids, why not poke a few holes in one of the plastic eggs, decorate it, and fill it with potpourri.

Some Large Plastic Easter Egg Ideas for the Bedroom

Ever have the problem of laddering your pantyhose from sharp edges in drawers or suitcases? Well know you can store each pair in a disused large plastic easter egg and close it shut. This will keep them smelling great and stop them getting damaged. Similarly, you can store all your jewellery / watches / earrings etc in a plastic easter egg shell whilst you are travelling to prevent them getting damaged, as well as to hide them from potential thieves.

The eggs are also good for keeping cash or lose coins in. For women, eyeliner brushes can easily fit into one of these eggs.

Other Uses

You can make almost limitless games for your children with some colourful disused large plastic easter eggs that you may not have thought of before. For the younger ones, you can put a little treat in a green plastic easter egg and ask them to point out the green one. When they do they get a bit of candy. Great for memory, and great for colour recognition.

Use half an egg for a scope to use at the beach for sand castles. For Easter, fill the large plastic eggs with individually wrapped candies or small toys.

We did a great thing for our kids last Christmas, we put loads of goodies and treats in some old large plastic easter eggs and wrapped them up with Christmas wrapping paper. The kids were thrilled as they had something to open in their stocking, and we were happy as it kept them busy whilst we made breakfast on Christmas morning.

These are just a few ideas of what can be done with larger plastic Easter eggs when its no longer Easter. Just be creative with the imagination.
