January 31st, 2009 - Experience Tanzanian Wilderness Travel

Tanzania is the country where more land than anywhere else in Africa is allocated to wildlife. Amazing? That is why a wilderness travel adventure in Tanzania is no ordinary experience. It is Africa at its best.

What is there to see?

Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and many visitors come here just to climb it. Climbing up affords some of the most breath-taking views ever seen.

See the wildlife in game sanctuaries so vast that some are still virtually unspoiled. The whole range of Africa wildlife is there to see as they interact in their natural habitat.

The Serengeti National park is probably the most famous in the world not just for its wildlife conservation efforts but also its research center on ecological conservation.

The Mahale Game Park is on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Here you will find the world’s largest concentration of chimpanzees.

Or go to visit the Islands of Zanzibar and Pemba. Here you will experience the rich culture born of history of the Swahili-Arab influence as it is blended with the local African cultures.

Activities to do:

Get a treat of the wild by taking a safari camp in the true Tanzanian wilderness. Campfires and tents under the open skies are a common and important part of this experience.

Try the walking safaris as you track game. Leave camp every morning with expert guides and come back in the evening tired but inspired.

Zanzibar Island and Pemba’s idyllic beaches are famous as honeymoon spots and for great water sports. Here you can crown your wilderness travel safari in the interior by coming to the sun ,sand and sea.

So whether you are a nature lover, bird watcher, wildlife enthusiast, a camping fanatic, a seasoned mountaineer, an ecologist or just a plain romantic, it is all there for you in a Tanzanian wilderness travel.

January 30th, 2009 - Pemba The Honeymoon Island-The Romantic Getaway

For the newly-wed couple in search of that special something as they begin their life together, Pemba the honeymoon island could just be the place to go.

Part of three exotic islands off the coast of Tanzania, this must be one of Africa’s best beach safari experiences.

Why it is ideal for honeymooners?

Surrounded by the clear Indian Ocean waters, beautiful sandy beaches and the rustle of the palm trees, tranquility begins and ends on Pemba Island. It is about 80km to the north-east of Zanzibar and another 80km east of Tanzania mainland so it is largely unspoiled and uncrowded.

There are two exclusive accommodations here that have packages especially designed for honeymooners, The Funduu Lagoon and the Manta Reef Lodge.

Rooms constructed with local materials like makuti (thatch from palm trees) are fully equipped for your comfort. Their dining facilities serve good food.

What activities are on offer:

– private dinners at the beach

– cruises by dhow at sunset

– picnic baskets at the poolside when not dining at the main dining room

– long boat rides into the deep blue sea

– sighting of the whales between July and September and boat trips to watch the dolphins or even swim with them

– water sports are also in plenty. Go scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing, it is all there.

And how do you get there? You can reach Pemba the honeymoon island by scheduled flights or light charter aircraft or by ferry service or by private speedboat service from Tanzania. It is a honeymoon with a difference.

January 29th, 2009 - Credit Crunch Holidays

Because of the poor GBP/EURO exchange rate, British residents will get much less for their money in Europe unless the present situation improves. At the time of this press release, (16-12-2008), we are seeing “parity” between the pound sterling and the euro for the first time ever.

As a result of this many UK residents will be not considering going abroad for their 2009 holiday unless the situation improves.

This is why a really smart move is to have a motorhome holiday in 2009. If the pound to euro exchange rate does not improve before the summer then a motorhome holiday in the United Kingdom makes good financial sense.

If the sterling/euro exchange rate should improve in the pound sterling’s favour then you could still take your already hired motorhome to Europe and make the most of getting more euros for your money. Countries such as Spain and also the former Eastern block countries such as Croatia have great cheap campsites and meals out are inexpensive.

Better fuel prices: It is worth noting that political and economic circumstances surrounding America and the Middle East have meant that fuel prices have stabilized during the autumn of 2008. Petrol and diesel are less expensive than they were a few months ago, a situation which looks likely to last into 2009 and a factor that is very important if you are considering a touring holiday.

Investing in Britain: If you do “holiday at home” in England, Scotland and Wales, you will be aiding small businesses in your own country. You may be helping other people just like you to provide for their families. You will be making a “ecological choice” too by not flying to your holiday destination.

When you hire your motorhome in the UK and you pay in pounds sterling, you are not affected by fluctuations in the European exchange rate.

Families love motorhome holidays: Children love camping holidays but sometimes Mums and Dads find the “under canvas” variety somewhat lacking in luxury!

January 27th, 2009 - Top 5 Hotels in Springfield Missouri

If you are planning to go to Springfield Missouri anytime soon, here are the top five hotels you should stay in. Springfield is the home of Bass Pro Shops. You will also find the Wilson Creek civil war Battlefield there. Springfield is also very close to Branson.

1. The Days Inn on Battlefield Road is a great hotel to stay in. The hotel is close to the highway that goes to Branson and is also close to shopping and restaurants. The staff is always friendly and the hotel is clean.

2. The Hampton Inn on Chestnut Expressway is another great hotel. This place also is known for its friendly staff and the fact that it is clean. This is one of the better Hampton Inns. It is also close to Highway 65 which leads right to Branson.

3. The Holiday Inn Express is located right next to the beautiful Hammons Field. The field is where the Springfield Cardinals play. They are a AA minor league affiliate of St. Louis. The hotel has been said to have great beds, pillows and breakfast. They are also located very close to the square in Springfield.

4. The Residence Inn is in a great location overall. It is in the newer part of the city which is growing fast. There are restaruants and shopping all around this property. They are probably in the best location of the hotels I speak of because they have easy access to everything. I probably would not stay here, however, if I was coming in or going out through the airport.

5. If you need to be near the hospitals then Comfort Suites Medical District is your hotel. They are a newer property and have a friendly staff. They are also close to restaurants and shopping which is important to most travelers.
